Chrome stuttering? I can tell you right now that the 7600k is more than enough to keep that from stuttering. Are you using an SSD for it?

As for PUBG, it can indeed be hard on the CPU so an upgrade would actually help there. Hunting for a good deal on an i7 7700k would be nice, but new Ryzen is coming in a matter of months so waiting is also worth it.

that's how Chrome works tbh, it'll hang your pc even if you have a 9900k oc'd to 5GHz, spaghetti code at its finest.

 

and PUBG, well it's a game that never left Alpha state so it's normal it's filled with bugs and errors, even if you replace the CPU that issue will still be there.

Well, more multithreaded CPUs with higher clocks have been shown to iron out the mess that is PUBG so it would improve at least slightly. Although if it's PUBG only then it's not really worth upgrading.

Nope, you'll only have to deal with potentially getting eye cancer when working on the panel that's 75Hz.

 

Your processor is definitely adequate for now, especially if overclocked.

I run chrome on an i5 3570K, so you should not have any issues. Also chrome running like shit is normal. 

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

As previously stated, you should have at least 12gb of RAM. I have a 7600k as well and I ran some tests comparing a single channel 8gb setup and 16gb in dual channel. The 16gb setup ran much faster while launching and running programs within Windows as well as gaming.
