USB 3.0 cable too thick and hard to bend

I'm facing problem routing my usb 3.0 cable from my case to the motherboard header, it is too thick, I afraid I will damage my mother if I push it too much.

Any easy solution?

You can either put it between two books at what angle you want it to bend or just an extension for the cable.

I have completely sworn myself away from front case 3.0 because of this. From now on, only 2.0 adapters. That monster of a double cable is horrible for a brittle input like it is today. That should definitely be looked at again with ATX standards. Since it doesn't flex easily with my NZXT case, it is prone to falling out and/or being a hassle to connect it straight. I've upgrade to my NZXT from my Rosewill, and I'm on my 3rd mobo in this case. Out of all those times no issues, but after doing my cable sleeving, I guess I had bad luck. Seemed to have gone in fine, but broke 2 pins. WTF. I don't understand why a Sata style connector wasn't devised.

What case are you using?

Without too much info, are you trying to bring it through the cut-out at the bottom there (in the picture)?

Can you considered routing it through / behind the HDD cage?

 

BTW, why is there a Gundam using the force to control that case fan? :P

CM690III, the case is so empty now without a graphic card, so I put a gundam inside for display purpose only.

What about heating the cable a bit with a lighter or something? A bit risky because the rubber can melt but the heat should make it a bit more flexible so you can get it to the right shape
