yikes

PULL THE PLUG; DO NOT USE THE PSU ANYMORE; ITS BAD!
Order a new one, low cost:
Xilence Performance A+, 430W or more (530W has 2 PCIe), be quiet System 9 or Pure Power 10/11

Good: Bitfenix Formula, Whisper M, be quiet Straight Power 11.

No, because it's rated for 288W, and because with a shit PSU like that it probably only delivers half a watt.

GET:

beQuiet! System Power 9 (400W+)

beQuiet! Pure Power 10 (400W+)

beQuiet! Pure Power 11 (all W)

beQuiet! Straight Power 11 (all W)

Corsair CX and CXM series (2015/2017 version only, aka gray text)

BitFenix Formula/Whisper M

SeaSonic Focus/Focus Plus

SeaSonic M12II 750W and 850W

Ryzen 7 3700X / 16GB RAM / Optane SSD / GTX 1650 / Solus Linux

I was wrong, don't listen to me.

Go for PSUs that are recommend by others.

But you should never cheap out on a PSU.

Any PSU that isn't 80plus certified is considered bad here at LTT forum. I'd recommend you swap it with at least a 80plus PSU.

The cheapest 80plus PSU out there is Antec VP500 plus

Please don't get the VP500+

Get a System Power 9, Pure Power 10 (previous 2 are 400W+) or Pure Power 11 (all wattages). Corsair CX is also a good choice, and so is SeaSonic G/SSRM.

No, 80plus is irrelevant.

But 80plus is a very highly valued brand so that you find a new PSU without any 80plus symbol on the box...

But having 80plus logo on the box doesn't make the PSU less shitty.

Lesson learned today!

I always told my friends to go for at least 80plus bronze for their new PC build.

But I was right for 1 thing tho, which is never cheap out on the PSU.
