The G2 from LG attempts to shake up the usual rigmarole with buttons on the back.

USUALLY experimenting with button placements compared to the "accepted norm" is a bit of a disaster, but @Slick's experience with the G2 shows that maybe there is still room to improve the ergonomics of smartphones!

Not really tho, but still. I've been watching Phone reviews since 2008 on Youtube just because I am interested in technology :-)

I won't upgrade my phone ever unless it becomes really really slow or unusable/broken.

I like my G2, after some time with it the button placement doesn't bother you and the knock-on works flawlessly so... you don't even need to use them.

And the size of an screen that is 5.2' on a 5' form factor is amazing.

Signatures are stupid.

I got two of these for my kids. They love them. I think it was stupid for the phone not have the removable back and micro-sd slot, but it was for my kids and $50 cheaper (apiece) then the Samsung Galaxy S3 I was gonna get them. There wasn't a whole lot to say about them on sites, it was a quiet release. There was enough for me to see the hardware was vastly superior though. I was just worried it wouldn't have Cyanogenmod support if it wasn't popular enough. (Unfounded, it is supported)

I wish they had used some of that soft touch plastic like on the black Nexus 5.

Also, @Slick , put CM on it when you get it. Stock Android FTW!

Edit: YES! Slick likes this.
