Depends on what radiators. There are often protrusions for tubing, making adjacent placements impossible.

I am getting a case that can fit a 360mm radiator on the front but I'm only getting a 240mm, so can I put in the radiator and a 120mm case fan on the same side

The question is why? Are you concerned about fresh air from a fan opposed to warmed air from a radiator?

With radiators, you're better off with a greater surface area.for cooling and you'll probably benefit with lower noise as the fans won't need to be ramp up as much. Conversely, if cost is a problem (affording a 360mm vs. 240mm system) then yes, you can run a fan in the empty space if that floats your boat.
