NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB Video Card

VincentRTM

How well would an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB Video Card with an Intel Core i5-8400 2.8GHz 6-Core processor perform in CSGO? What would the Frames Per Second be?

Probably around 200. Your graphics settings matter though. Are you going lowest details for highest possible?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I've been playing on lowest setting for a very long time, not much would change in the settings configuration.. would probably keep them all close to low, but 200 sounds pretty good. I barely max out on 65-70fps on my laptop. Been thinking about buying a new PC with this video card and processor (the build is budget friendly)

just fyi. you would not be looking at either of those components of you are looking for something budget friendly. what budget are you working with?

65 on a laptop is pretty good.

If you plan to build on, i suggest staying away from 1060 3gb, i suggest you browse for a new or second RX580, they should be around (if not lower) 1060 price but with 8gb of memory.

Ryzen 5700g @ 4.4ghz all cores | Asrock B550M Steel Legend | 3060 | 2x 16gb Micron E 2666 @ 4200mhz cl16 | 500gb WD SN750 | 12 TB HDD | Deepcool Gammax 400 w/ 2 delta 4000rpm push pull | Antec Neo Eco Zen 500w

1060s arent really the choice in the market atm. the 570 and 580 just beat both of them in pricing.

lol, I am trying to stay under $1k, which for what I've been looking at online is fairly good. Also, the build will allow me to very easily swap and upgrade parts in the future, so if anything I can get better components later down the line.

Total with a new 144hz monitor should cost me around $1k, thats about the most I would like to spend at least for the moment.

Get an RX 580 8GB, better optimized now than the 1060 6GB and can be found cheaper.

Well, the PC I want comes prebuilt so if anything I will have to buy the build as it is and then later upgrade it. At that point I will definitely take a look at some better performing and possibly cheaper graphics cards. I will see...but thanks for the help guys!

you know. you ust have had a wierd build for 1k $.

because here is a better one for 1k $. rx 580 is faster than the gtx 1060 3GB and a way better buy. also the i5 8400 leaves no real upgrade path for the future.

I haven't really been looking at too many different builds, but I found one and liked because of the Case, also the PC comes with a keyboard/ mouse combo. Basically I liked the build for the RGB's built into the case itself, and at that point felt it was necessary to research the components it comes with because I liked the case so much.

The Price may be a bit high as well, especially for the hardware it offers, so it's probably not the best buy, and glad I came to the forums to ask. If you have any suggestions or links to similar or better build with but in RGBs I would definitely take a look.

I guess I would have to say I like the MasterBox Pro 5 RGB ATX Mid Tower Case / as well as the MasterBox MB520 RGB ATX Mid Tower Case the most, although these RGB's are only 1 solid color, the RGB's in the one I linked are pretty sweet and have a multi color function in each fan. Also these are just Cases and would have to find parts and build the PC myself, which is really nbd but again I really liked the Case in the One I linked. Also yeah, I found some pretty pricey Monitors for about $200 which also isn't too bad. my total price point would end up around $1050-$1100

Please go with AMD, you can upgrade easily since there’s going to be even more options for the AM4 socket and can go through workloads much better. What @GoldenLag made on pc part picker is a really good build.

i would highly suggest building yourself by following guides and whatnot. in the end you will end up with a way better system. like a lot better. and i allready linked to a good monitor to buy in the build i suggested.

build yourself, in the end its the best way to go.

I have no Problem with building, (I am an IT Tech.. build and Refurbish PCs all day for work) although it would be my first personal gaming build, I also know building myself would allow for a better system all around and more personalized.. just wanted to quickly have a PC ready to go at my doorstep ready to plug and play. (Building would take more time and attention to detail) Figured I'd also be able to upgrade as needed and when I wanted. Especially after seeing the case I saw, I really liked it. I know building my own would be smarter and most likely cheaper (or more cost effective) for better components. I will have to see what I am going to do....

It's probably my best bet to build my own, but that will take longer...Thanks for helping me re-evaluate my options and I will have to contnue to look further into this, more than I probably would like to,, but I suppose it will be worth it.

Don't buy a prebuilt if you are under a budget lmao, you could buy a much better system than that for under 1000 such as the RX 580 and get some better all around specs i imagine, such as i bet your prebuilt only has 8 gigs of RAM

PC Specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7 8700

GPU: MSI Armour GeForce GTX 1080 8GB OC

Motherboard: Asus-Prime 7370-A ATX LGA1151

Small parts like RAM, Extra cables, and SSD's I can basically get for free because I work at a tech company, so I know I can easily upgrade stuff like that...my point is I want a ready to go plug and play system so I don't have to both wait longer and do extra work when components arrive. I know building my own would be the smarter way to go, I would just have to further look into parts and wait even longer to play. Also, what really caught my eye is the case that I linked for the prebuilt system I found. If I can find a case just like that, I would most definitely build.

I know this isn't related, but your website is fucking great, if i didn't live in England and if i didn't prefer building my own systems, i would have come to you lmao. Like i prefer your site to one like Origin's, aesthetic is important when being contemplated by customers.
