H80i v2 Performance in Push only Config

foogison

I am wondering if anyone has any experience using an H80i v2 in a push only configuration?

I am wondering if a single stock fan will be sufficient to provide cooling for a ryzen 7 2700x or if i should invest in a higher static pressure fan.

Context:

-I am not too sensitive to noise and don't mind cranking fans, my current PC is the original Aorus X7 which basically sounds like an airplane taking off and I cant honestly imagine any desktop fan being as loud as this boi.

-Reason for single fan: looking to fit in SG13 itx build w/ sfx psu (max 90mm radiator + fan clearance)

Thanks in advance

it'll be fine, ryzen isn't especially power hungry

stock cooler for max perf/price, the highest i would go for a 2700 is a windale 6 honestly

I guess it depends on your definition of major haha

I would like to be able to get the most out of my system - Sustained boost clocks minimum

ASUS has some "auto overclocking" software to pair with the X470 that i was going to explore

Current plan:

I'm looking at 80mm MAX of clearance for cpu cooler and haven't found a decent low profile cooler that is rated for 105TDP yet
