Bottleneck doubt

Hi, I'm kind of new to PC building (and new to this forum). Currently I have a Ryzen 5 2400g paired with a GTX 1050 ti (and 16 gb of DDR4 RAM). Apparently on this site: https://thebottlenecker.com/calculator my computer is bottlenecked and it's because of my GPU (it says that my GPU is too weak for my processor. I've been looking forward to upgrading my GPU to a 1060 or higher. Can you guys please give me some tips on to what is better to upgrade? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Don't let a bottleneck force you to upgrade, that's my answer.

 

As for playing "some" (so not the most demanding bunch) AAA games, RX 580s are the best deal in most countries as it's as fast as the 1060 6GB at a lower price. RX 570s are 10-15% slower, but usually the best value because it's 30% cheaper at least in again, most countries.

Having a GPU bottleneck is ideal tbh. I don't see why everyone thinks any sort of bottleneck is bad. CPU bottlenecks are what you should avoid but also you should worry more about bad bottlenecks not mild ones. I see people all the time freak out when their system has a minor CPU bottleneck when it really isn't that big of a deal. The only time you really should worry about bottlenecks is if it's a CPU bottleneck and its severe.

There has been a lot of evidence pointing towards the release of lower spec 16xx series cards in March. I would wait a little bit longer to at least see what they have to offer if you are looking for a 1050ti - 1060 replacement.

 

but an rx series card would also be good

It makes no sense to pair a 2400G that has an APU with a super low value entry GPU, you're wasting money this way...

 

as per bottlenecking, no there is not one, your CPU can meet your GPU full potential.
