PC won't detect separate audio devices

Go to solution Solved by Turtle Rig,

Im guessing your using Realtek drivers.  If so then launch pc into safe mode and run DDU "Display Driver Uninstaller"  then choose audio and Realtek and clean and restart into normal mode and now install latest Realtek drivers.  let me know what happens.

My PC won't detect separate audio devices. My speakers have power and are plugged into the Green Line Out port on my computer. They worked up until half an hour ago when I installed new AMD Drivers & Software. My front headphone jack won't work either! The sound is coming through my monitor speakers via HDMI.

Things I have tried:

Going into device manager > Sound, video, and game controllers > Changing the AMD preset to High Definition Audio Device

Uninstalling the AMD Drivers then Re-Installing

Restarting a bunch.

Nothing seems to be working. I'm really annoyed over this so I'm sorry if my grammar or whatever the heck else is off. I'll be more than happy to provide any info if needed.

Thanks a lot! After running DDU and booting back into normal mode, my PC detected speakers and headphones. However, I didn't have to reinstall latest realtek drivers. But like I said, everything is working great now.

Yes, Windows probably installed the Realtek drivers.  There was tangling going on, Im glad we fixed it.  Good job and enjoy!
