I poured coke on my mechanical keyboard , need help

So I poured coke on my Mechanical keyboard (CM storm quick fire TK , Cherry MX blue switches) .
I disassembled it , cleaned it and let it dry, I also cleaned all the keys.
The keyboard works completely fine ( Typing this from it ) , but some switches have become sticky and stiff and its really annoying.
I tried cleaning the keys with some water and a hair dryer, medical alcohol , and they are still sticky.
Can anyone help?

more water.  Lots more water.  Submerge the keys completely in warm water (the kind of temperature that you take a hot bath/shower in), press them a couple hundred times while submerged, then let them dry out.  If that still doesn't fix it, I'm not sure what will.

I would suggest iso alcohol as water can cause corrosion

Just keeping this here as a True, there is that risk depending on the quality of the tap water.  With distilled water the odds of that happening are almost nonexistant. 

Deadslayer mentions "some switches".  If that's (for example) a dozen switches, there'll be a lot of alcohol involved in thoroughly cleaning them.  Replacing the one or two keys that could fail later on due to corrosion may be cheaper than the amount of alcohol needed to clean all the sticky switches.

Its like 15 switches total , some are very sticky and others are just stiff

That's why I mentioned bath/shower temperature.  Deadslayer still needs to be able to put his/her hand underwater to repeatedly press the switches, so it can't be much more than 38°C - 100°F anyway.  I doubt that plastic will melt at that temperature.

I'd lean towards iso or hot distilled water. 

 

If it were my keyboard, I'd go for the distilled water first, then try again with iso if needed.

It amazes me how many people aren't more careful around their gear. Just keep going at them with ISO, pour it over the switch and repeatedly click.

You can try soaking it, who knows if that'll help or not. I personally wouldn't do it.

I think soaking them would be better , I did try putting some alcohol ( not iso ) on the keys and pressing them again , becomes sticky again after an hour .

The problem is you really need a good cleaning as coke has A LOT of sugar in it and that slowly eats away at the PC so if OP doesn't clean his keyboard out soon it will simply not work anymore. I say open it up, get a tooth brush and just scrub it with alcohol

I clicked on here thinking you has poured cake on your keyboard and was coming to see the story behind it. I must say I am disappointed

 

You could use Isopropyl alcohol and soak the keys in there or use water or similar (if you do use the alcohol some key caps reacts badly to it (especially the rubber top ones I learnt that by accident and needed to buy a new wasd set (which are metal so are cooler than the previous ones)))

You would need to clean inside the switches to really clean it properly.  Rubbing the outside of the switch accomplishes little.  This is not always straight forward however if you have through switch LEDs.

I am afraid my switches cant be disassembled ,( cm storm quick fire tk)
