This stuff?

https://www.isocol.com.au/rubbing-alcohol-antiseptic/

Looks like an isopropyl based cleaner/disinfectant, may be some other stuff in there too. If you are planning to use this for cleaning a thermal paste probably not the best.

If you have acetone that will work just becareful around plastics. You can even use a slightly damp paper towel to clean it off, it just won't deep clean the surfaces of the metal compared to isopropyl or other solvents.

I use 99% isopropyl on GPU dies, on cpu IHS, I get a coffee filter (or microfiber) use it dry to get the majority off, then a rub with water, then a dry with another filter (3 filters total, but they are cheap)

Thanks, I'll give both suggestions a try.

I just use a paper towel, gets the job done. If I need to clean some.. extra old thermal paste I give it a little water.

For removing normal paste you don't need anything more than soft paper towels. For cleaning and removing harder stuff, then you might need something.
