So I just started downloading Saints Row IV off of Steam (it was free for another day). I have to cancel it though, since I don't have enough data left for it. If I cancel it, will it still be there, or will it be gone?

If you pause the download, then yeah you can just resume from where you left off.

Its a bit too unserious for me, i dont mind it being funny, i love borderlands after all but honestly they take it a step too far at points of it.

Well it would fully download but in order to play it you would have to buy it

Are you sure its free completely or a free weekend?

 

If it has a number of days left its only a free weekend.

This means essentially you get the game to play, but only for the weekend. Think of it as a full demo for a limited time.

I would use my 6570, but right now I'm trying to do some work on it, and I just threw a temporary Windows install on.

 

And I'm too damn lazy to uninstall the nVidia drivers and then find the AMD disk.

If you pause it and don't complete the download during the free weekend period, you will not be able to finish the download. It would just turn into a purchase button when you click on it in your library after the free period.

It is very unserious which in my opinion is why it is so great but I don't intend on buying it. I will play it as much as possible this weekend and then never play it again.

 

Some of the events are just so ridiculous and hilarious.

Steam never lets you get free games to keep. They offer these free weekends to let people try out the game and buy it on discount if they like it (since they have a no return policy.)

i think they gave l4d2 for free in the last sale and there are free games on steam but a normal sale will not be for free and if it was it wouldn't just be in your library like that you would have to look for it.
