Grab a 1050Ti if you can.

1050 Ti is horrible for what it costs.

GTX 1050 or RX 560 for new cards.

Skip the GTX 1050 Ti.

Next up on new cards would be the RX 570 at ~$135, and its the hands down best buy at that price point.  Even over many used cards.

Looking for a cheap graphics card. Right now all my system has is Radeon hd 4200 integrated graphics. Needless to say, it’s garbage. What do you recommend?

I got a ps5 and a pc pretty ballin

If you're going eBay route please don't get a 1050TI and get an RX 580, way better for same price.

Ok I’ll try to find an RX 570. I actually prefer Radeon (I don’t know why but I do)

Your on team Red, nothing wrong with that.

R9 390 is a decent used option for 100

Not really anymore.  Power consumption is too high and RX 570 is too close in performance, while being only $135 NEW.

Ok, I found a bunch of RX 570s brand new for about $100. The only thing I worry about though is my power supply now. It’s way outdated and only a 250 watt. Plus, I don’t think it’s got the right hookups for a graphics card that’s not low profile. Any suggestions on an ATX power supply that’s also cheap (under $50 maybe?)

Ok thanks! Yeah, I’ve heard that if you don’t stick to well known brands it could be disastrous. Thanks for the suggestion. I actually needed to order a few other things from Newegg anyway.

With the age of 390s at this point, having your $100 used GPU die costs more than an additional $35.

I'm in almost the exact same boat as the OP, except my potato has a GT 635.  I had looked at the options, and just like the OP discovered my 270w PSU doesn't have the juice to run a better graphics card anyway. I'm thinking about a GT 1030. It's power consumption is low enough I can run it, and it's performance will run circles around my current GPU. Right now I'm just saving up and waiting for a good sale.
