Hi guys, i just got a nice 4k hdr monitor that supports free sync. im mainly going to be using this monitor for watching videos. i have a 980ti that i use for gaming on my 1080p 144hz gsync monitor. im wondering if i can install a amd gpu and run my 4k monitor to that so i can you free sync on it?

This would be very difficult to do due to driver compatibility issues

They will not cooperate at all. Driver conflicts.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

This will totally work, you can have both amd and nvidia drives running at the same time, ive done it many times.

How? I've only tried it a few times, but I've always had driver conflicts make the thing damn near unusable.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

Always has worked fine. THe nvidia driver works with the nvidia cards and vise versa. Just install the drivers normally.

 

Linus even did a video with this working

Yes you can do it. It will work fine.

You have a better chance at winning the big lottery then having AMD and nVidia installed at same time and thinking it's going to work.
