What monitor "price up to $1200" do I couple with my RTX

Turtle Rig

I had previous issues as some may know about bit*hing about getting 120fps in all games.  Well looks like it was the vsync set to FAST that was doing it.  I changed it to let game decide and that did it.  Im getting now 150avg and up and some dips really fast and up again.  Its big difference however I rather use vsync On with 144hz monitor to couple my gaming experience.  In Quake Champions all settings to max and all nvpanel set to max and turned on as there is no performance hit at all and it is free.  Im getting my 150fps and up and down,  Im totally happy now.  But now I must get a nice 144hz monitor however I am hesitating on upgrading as I will lose 4k and lose 5 inches of monitor size.  sighs

There is the AW3418DW, ultrawide, 120 hz, 4ms, IPS, G-sync, lowest price: $720. Ultrawide is really great if you are good with 120 Hz, if not and you still want ultrawide, wait a bit as 144hz & HDR options are coming (but will be closer to if not higher than your price limit).

If you like 16:9 look at those options, but you don't necessarily have to lose your 4k monitor if you can just put it next to the new one. Acer, ASUS, Dell, LG, etc all have compelling offers in this area, and I would recommend shopping around and reading up on their reviews / waiting for one to go on sale.

Double check everything, I am usually wrong.

Oh man Im sorry.  I said in other thread I turned vsync OFF and still getting 120fps but that was like 2 drivers ago.  I did DDU as always ,, changed my nvpanel turned everything on and to max as there is no performance hit and is free pretty much.  In game settings max, and now I put vsync to … Let game decide and it was much better then vsync OFF in panel,,, no tearing really going on.  Then bam I saw my FPS jump on all games with these latest drivers.  But ya I thank you and I listened to you just weird sh*T happened with 2 versions old driver with vsync off ,,,, something happened because I was all ears.. Anyhow now I just let game take care of it and I get the high FPS and barely any tearing going on you can't really notice it.  What you can notice is my POS monitor and the motion blur it gives lol

I have been waiting myself, but nothing really is coming down the pipe I can really like or justify. I have currently the PG278Q, PG279q AND OMEN X35. I have been happy with 100hz ultrawide VA and the 144 TN, and 165 IPS.

Ideally I am waiting for the 144+ ultrawide with HDR10 in 35+inch model.

Unfortunately just nobody makes it yet, never mind anything good is 2000+ Canadian rupees.

If that doesn't come, it will be BFG for me!

Yes I have noticed the monitor industry is moving very slow.  Now a days you can walk in the store and pay 800 bucks and get a nice 55" HDR QLED 4k tv.  But in the pc mon industry you get a 27" if you want 144hz and 4k and HDR.  sighs
