Will I get video output without drivers installed?

I'll be swapping my friends old nvidia card with a new AMD one and I'm wondering will I get signal and be able to work in windows after installing the new card with no drivers and old drivers wiped? We can't use onboard video outputs.

Yeah, windows will load the basic display adapter so that you can install your drivers.

do everything in safe mode and you won't have a problem. safe mode only uses default display drivers.
