Laptop for University

So I am going back to university soon and I want a sleek and thin laptop for taking notes there. So here we go:

 

Use case: Taking notes, web browsing, MS Office

Budget: <2000$

Location: Germany

Battery life: >10 hours (a full day of classes)

Screen size: the bigger the better, but not unwieldy

Weight: as light as possible ^^

OS: Win10 (I don't like MacOS)

 

I don't need crazy good performance, since I have a decent desktop PC at home, plus I won't be gaming on the laptop.

So yeah, fire away. Any recomendations are welcome!

Hauwei Matebook X Pro. Cheaper and better than an XPS13 except the trackpads can sometimes be loose and need a piece of tape under them. Otherwise the XPS is $2000 for lesser specs than the Matebook for $1349. Just make sure to buy it from Microsoft or Amazon

I am aware, that 2000$ is quite a big budget for a Laptop on which I am just going to be taking notes, but I'd rather spend some serious money now and get a thin and light laptop now and be done with it, than having to upgrade in two years.

 

And any display size bigger than or equal to 13'' should be fine.

Also I am aware that there is no such thing as 'futureproofing' in the world of tech, since stuff you buy is usually 'old' when you walk out the store already. But I have the money to spare to invest into something overpowered right now, that will last me a couple of years. And I won't once I've started university.

That one you need to go for laptops with powerful hardware (eg gaming laptops) since most Ultrabooks are equipped with lower end hardware (U series CPU, MX150 GPU etc). Take your time and think carefully which type of laptop you want first
