Should i change laptop or not

Hi, i just need an advice.

I have ASUS Zenbook 14 430UN that i bought July last year. It kinda worked supposedly good enough for my college needs but it dissapoints me in a lot of things like:

- I would prefer longer battery runtime than just 4-5 hours in Best Battery mode

- The brightness in outdoor is dissapointing

- The inconsistent fingerprint reader

- It's difficult to play games without thinking the laptop would stutter because of the horrible thermal management in this laptop

- The dongle life is no problem for me but since i can't found micro HDMI to HDMI dongle, the USB-C to HDMI is ok yet makes constant sound notification which is bothering me

Based on that quite a lot of complaints, i would like to change my laptop to Dell XPS 15 9570 (i7-8750H, FHD, 512 GB SSD). But since i live in Indonesia, is it worth it to buy 2000$ laptop (In Indonesia the price bumps up so much especially for XPS 15 lineup) than my 1150$ current laptop? And everytime i need to but anything, i need my parent's consent. So i'm puzzled if i really need the XPS or not. And thanks for anyone who read this and can give me some advice about my problem. :)

you can always get a smaller ssd built in and then buy a external drive to save money

thanks @Saksham but i think i'll pass both of those. i was thinking getting razer blade but it sacrifices battery life and bulkier than my current one.

maybe because i liked to keep my laptop on charged to 100% every day if i don't use them too much outside of my dormroom. And also would you guys also can give me some tips to prolong battery life cycle?

can you be more specific about what usage means? and i only use online stores for price comparison because sellers from online stores who sell very expensive things (like xps laptop) is not really trusted in indonesia. That's why i prefer to buy it from a retailer or that sort of thing in a electronic shopping centre. i think the max weight is 1,8 to 2 kg and at least 7 hours or more battery life just in case i use it when i go outside to do some assignments and i also get used to use a thin and light laptop to travel like my current laptop now (i've mention the laptop earlier with some of my complains about it)

How about Huawei Matebook X Pro? But i think it would be hard to found it in Indonesia and the spec bump is non-existent because it has the same CPU and GPU.

Just to do some basic computer science student stuff like coding, but i also wanted the laptop able to do gaming. Usually i wanted the kinda OK graphics card like MX150 but i recently wanted to play some more graphically demanding games yet my budget can be limiting. So a laptop who has at least more than 6 hours battery life, light, thin, and small but also can do a good gaming (at least has GTX 1050 in it).

i've seen some reviews but again i'm like dissapointed why asus don't want to include a thunderbolt 3 port. Because i really like to create a mobile workstation with having a monitor, external peripherals etc. And the display's brightness said need to be brighter, the same problem as my current laptop.

The more time goes by and i begin to actually prefer a Dell XPS 13 or Huawei Matebook X Pro and just buy a external graphics to do gaming. But i prefer Huawei because i can do light gaming with it's MX150 even though notebookcheck said the GPU performance is not really on par with other MX150 laptop. Which i don't really mind if it won't throttle like my UX430UN.

it has 10W MX150, however dGPU model only has x2 PCIe lanes TB3

Yeah, i know about the limitations in Huawei's laptop like the Thunderbolt only supports 2 instead of 4. So, what about some good which cheaper (if there are one) or more or less the same price as those two laptops. The preference is still the same the only diffrence is forget about the Dedicated GPU but has a Thunderbolt 3 in it (not really care if it's 4 or 2 lanes). Thanks, and sorry if it's kinda bothering you a little bit :) @GeneXiS_X

Lenovo Yoga 730 13, 720 13 (x2 PCIe lanes) - glossy display, no HDMI

looks like options in your country are quite limited
