Dell P2414H Monitor

Ok, so my monitor just arrived, and let me tell you it is a sexy beast.

 

The Dell P2414H is a full back-lit, zero flicker, 24 inch monitor. It is fully adjustable and can swivel from landscape to portrait mode in a snap. The base uses a quick release system that snaps into the back of the display.

I have not had a chance to hook it up to anything as my parts don't get here till Friday (curse you polar vortex!!!!). Also my GPU won't be here till I get my taxes so I will be borrowing a GPU from work in the interim.

 

Not much I can say right now as far as picture quality is concerned. The build quality is stellar. Nice sturdy monitor. The base is rock solid, no wobble, the fact that I can adjust the height on the fly just by moving the monitor up and down is awesome. Also the landscape -> portrait mode is sweet too.

Once I get my parts and build my machine I will add on to this review.

For now I give it 4/5 stars.

Can't check picture quality without system built and my 780 Ti. Star isn't lost, just not given until I can fully review.

Very nice monitor. I don't get why other monitor manufactures has a screw system at the bottom, or screws to screw in, or some other strange contraption.

Maybe Dell has a patent on that design. But I am just surprised how other manufacture don't attempt to invest in finding a better way than to be forced to put the monitor on a table and have the potential of scratching it due to the cumbersome stand connection system.

I also like the hole the hole the stand has. It's proper size, and properly located so that, at any position, you don't see wires.
