Vega 64 Arez or RTX 2070

Which one would you guys recommend I go with? Cheapest RTX 2070 is about $500 while Vega 64 is about $410+. Is it worth spending the extra $90+?

2070 is about gtx 1080 which is (mostly) faster than 64. I think its also much more power efficient, and has rtx. the extra $90 is up to you. if you want rtx 2070 performance buy dont need rtx, get a used 1080 or 1080ti for cheaper

Monitor is 1080P 60 hz but plan on upgrading to 1080P 144hz monitor in a couple of weeks though. I think I'll end up going with the 64 since the monitor I'm interested in has FreeSync.

tbh, RTX is DoA. If you got the Vega you could pocket the difference. Its always nice to have spare cash. The Vega will easily be able to do what you ask of it anyway.

Try to get a Freesync 2 monitor if you can....I have a VEGA 64 on a 3440x1440 Freesync monitor and it handles this res easily enough. I play Strange Brigade, BFV, BF1, Doom, Titan Fall 2, Metro Redux series, etc at max or near max ingame setting.
