60hz or 144hz?

Vod

Hello!

So I'm building a new pc, and my current one I will sell.

But I don't know Iif I should sell the monitor too.

My current monitor has an 1080p 60hz 1ms 20" display while the one I found has 144hz 24" 1080p 4ms display.

The monitor is 120 euro.

But my question is how big of a different is 144hz compraed to 60hz, how much better does it look and is it better for gaming?

Whats the monitor? 144hz 4ms sounds like a steal at 120 euros.

Also, the 144hz and 60hz difference is crazy. Extremely smooth at 144hz and when I lsee 60, it looks choppy compared to my 144hz display.

just make sure your PC can actually push out 144 FPS at the 144hz mark.

25 fps to 60 is like 60 to 144, both objectively, and (imo) subjectively.  The only problems with it are:

  1. It's already going to cost more out of the gate (maybe 2 or 3x at least) and that's just to get the same (or potentially inferior) image quality to what you were used to.  To get something that's fast and looks great is going to be even more.
  2. Once you get used to it, you won't want to ever go back to 60 and all future monitors and GPUs will be more expensive for you as a result, and you might have trouble finding a laptop :P

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I'll have an rx 570 and ryzen 5 2600 and I'll be mostly playing games like csgo, so I think I'll be fine

I do not really see much difference between them.

Really? It feels like night and day to me.
