Ultra wide monitors

dalton642

So i have been looking around for a new monitor and i was thinking an ultra wide but some ultrawides are labeled as 16:9 and others as 21:9. Are they both ultrawides? what would really be the difference?

Any recomendations on UltraWides at 1440P with 100 plus hrs have been thinking about the Dell Alienware 1900R 34.1 but wasnt sure if the 16:9 was true ultawide thanks for the help and sugestions!

Those are aspect ratios, 21:9 would be ultrawide, 16:9 would be your normal "widescreen" display. That alienware monitor is 21:9, and is a good choice

Ok, thanks, Amazon just says that the Alienware is a 16:9 for some reason so I was confused, I think I'll go with that then!
