Even lawyers fresh outta law school will tell you to not "confess" to anything without legal representation beforehand, contact a lawyer before doing anything!

Sure you're "helping" law enforcement by providing them with the manufacturer of such materials but you're also admitting to purchasing this yourself no matter if it was intentional or not.

Where did you find these stuffs? Google usually does a fabulous job filtering out these type of $hit so the chance of stuffs like these are nearly impossible. I guess once in a blue moon, these gets past the filter. 

 

You need to report them ASAP. tell your local law enforcement about this. You won't get into trouble. I mean you pay for legal porn. You get messed up and illegal $hit. Not really your fault.

I'm pretty sure that seeking legal counsel before doing anything will be cheaper than having to hire a criminal attorney after they slap you with a cp charge...

I'm no gambling man but I think I like the odds better of seeking counsel before having an active charge being filed against me xD

Drawn depictions of minors is generally legal in the United States. I would not go to the police first as some have said. Your first and only choice, if you want to do anything, would be to seek legal advice from a lawyer. This will still protect you in the event they check you for crimes.

One, this topic needs mod intervention. Two, that's some baaad luck, but you brought it on yourself (shame on you), and three, if you're in the US, you're fine, just delete it -- if you're in Canada, it's illegal. No laws passed yet banning that garbage in the US, but Canada has. Freedom of speech law is easily abused, eh?

1. Get a lawyer. You local laws will be different on how your situation will be handled. (yes it costs but would you prefer a bill or jail time)

2. Get a lawyer....

3. you should not have destroyed the evidence.

4. If .. IF the site is already under investigation and you are in the US the FBI may... may already be aware of the purchase. SO I suggest you do is follow step one.

 

Lastly, seeking legal advice from a tech forum is not the smart move. You pretty much just admitted to things openly/publicly and in some cases depending on your local laws can be used if found against you.

 

Now don't be alarmed. Just get yourself calmed down and go see a lawyer, most will give you a free initial consultation and offer some advice upfront.

Incorrect and absolutely the worst advice to give.

There are several federal laws that cover child porn. Including the purchase and downoad of it, even if its on accident. I wont go further an explanation but I know enough to say the OP can be in a pickle. Seeking Legal advice from a lawyer is the best advice to give with this.
