Clone SSD from bad sector HDD with macrium

My gut feeling thinks even if it doesn't, the HDD isn't going to return any data so that sector is just going to be stuck at the default state on the SSD. So you'll end up with a corrupted file.

 

In this case though, I don't recommend cloning. Back up what you can from the HDD and ditch it.

No, it won't give your SSD bad sectors. Bad sectors are a physical issue. If any of the data is damaged, you'll either have corrupted data transferred over or it just won't copy those sectors.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

If bad sectors are in empty hdd space then everything should be fine.

 

Use Macrium rescue usb and boot from it, so you'll clone offline system.
