Gigabyte GTX 780 Ti problems

it's dying of old age. Ticks most of the boxes.

Hi, I have a GTX 780 Ti that I have been trying to get working but it has some problems and i'm wondering if it is dead. First of all, most of the time it will not run with the driver and windows displays an error in device manager. Also, the card had artifacts on the screen for a brief period of time but they have now gone. Since all this happening, have unplugged all of the fans and heated the card up with a hairdryer (which i know i'm not meant to do). now the card works and device manager thinks it's ok but the card will crash under any high load. I have tried multiple drivers, flashed the vbios and used DDU with no results. does anyone know what is wrong with this card?

What does this have to do with it?

OP: BTW, the GPU is probably dead.

Yup, its dead. Unless you were extreme overclocking I doubt it impacted your motherboard.
