Is this the right stuff for my cpu and my cooler? It says grease and its a little more white than i thought.

Try to turn on the PC first so that paste warms up a bit.

Good enough? Also i cant turn my pc on due to some technical difficulties of me not using a cooler, was just hoping that this will help me get through it. But i probs fried my cpu

To clean that you don’t need heat, you need a solvent.

 

You can buy bottles of cleaner for very little. 

 

I would recommend buying a different paste at the same time, something a little more tried and tested like MX-2 or MX-4 if you want to spend a little more.

 

MX-2 is pretty standard and a good paste for general application. If you OC you may need something a little more expensive.

I dont OC, this thermal paste was the only brand on the shop also, i checked out the mx-4 on the internet, its 50 cents cheaper than the one i bought (and better it looks like from the reviews) but i would have to pay 6-7 extra bucks for the transportation cause idk if my island got one of these so i would have to order it. It was raining so i didnt bother checking around..

 

Its a terrible thermal paste though, temperatures looking weird, and its kinda expensive too, its incredibly sticky and slippery at the same time.. ill definetely post some footage when i remove my cooler in a few months, ill probably rip the gut out of my cpu trying to do so so ill do it after i get my new pc to be safe.

That's a massive difference, assuming the claims are true (Arctic Silver 5 didn't hold up to it's claim).

I'm guessing you could get same performance out of most regular toothpaste. I mean, 1.3W is weak as hell. Like a decade ago if not more I was using Akasa 5022 which had 4W thermal conductivity. These days, all the better ones go beyond 10W.
