CAD and multimedia laptop for school

Hi all,

I'm going into my senior years of highschool next this year and have chosen a fair few CAD and multimedia based subjects. My school requires that I get a laptop for this year anyway but these subjects will require a bit more power than your avarage Chrome book.

The main programs I'll be using are PTC creo Parametric and Simulate along with the Adobe suit. I'll be rendering 3d objects, short films and animations as well as possiblely runing engineering simulations.

What kind of budget should I be setting to meet these needs? Does anyone have any recommendations for devices?

Thanks

I believe it would, it isn't a big enough difference to justify the price increase.

If you want Quadro, look into 'true' mobile workstations like Thinkpad P52 and Precision 7530
