But then again

http://ompldr.org/vZ3o3Mg/real-mice.png

But it only applies when it doesn't break after 2 weeks :P

Exactly, the Deathadder 2013 might have an awesome sensor but I trust it as far as I can throw it in terms of build quality. As for the Logitech G400, I really really hate the finish on Logitech products, that awful plastic with cheap looking paint, it's ghastly.

As for the picture and anything coming from any part of 4chan, it's utterly pretentious and some of the entries are obviously based on numbers and stats rather than personal experience. You can safely disregard most of it's contents. Some were obviously agreeable, such as the R.A.T. being shit (seriously, I don't think I've ever seen one of them without major production flaws) - but the sheer idiocy of claiming any mouse not on the list prior to december 2012 is shit is an irresponsibly childlike and douchey lie, as I can name several mice that would fall into the 'demigod' tier like the Thermaltake Tt eSports Theron that isn't on the list.

So yeah, brains need to be switched on, but I agree that build quality sometimes matters more than performance.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

  • 1 month later...

It's exactly the same for Beat by dr. dre. I hate people who think beats are like the ultimatum of sound headsets/earbuds. People can be so oblivious :/

Yep naive, but just be grateful that we have heard better headphones... They haven't.

PROFILEYEAH

What do people even put in these things?

So my brother is now getting his fourth Razer mouse in 2 years. The other ones broke in some way or another. So I've asked him before; "why not just get something, well, NOT Razer this time since you're obviously not having luck with those?" He doesn't want to hear it. To him, Razer is the be all, end all gaming mice manufacturer (even if he's never even held a mouse from someone else) - and he's not the only one. So many people I know have these mice, they're like the VW Golf (the car) of gaming mice. How have they created so many blind followers and staunch defenders in spite of their product's build quality? What's UP with that? I'm going to steal my brother's new Razer and leave my Func MS-3 at his house for a week and see if I can convert him.

First, Razer's marketing strat is great.

Second, many PROFESSIONAL GAMERS ARE USING RAZER, which is another strat.

Third is really the design, for example, there are not many mouse are well designed like deathadder. The closest mice to deathadder are Zowie EC 2 and Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0. Flashy stuffs like lights, macros is also a factor.

For the build quality, is really by luck. I got the first deathadder running for 6 yrs without hiccups. My friends who got razer stuffs some spoilt and some even still running. The defenders that I've met, their reason is usually, "Look, pros are using Razer, you say it is suck? Then why are they using it?" But, they don't know that pros got it for free. I'm a team manager and my dota team is also requesting Razer to sponsor us as most of the members are familiar and comfortable with the gears. To those pros, the mice are like free to throw away.

Judging from your post, I suppose your bro is getting a Deathadder or Imperator or Mamba. If yes, Mamba is truly a bad mouse to use as the quality sucks. For Imperator and Deathadder is subjective as my cousin's imperator survives after being dropped on the floor more than 10 times.

I hope this post is really help to convince your bro nt to get Razer and answer your questions. If you got more questions, feel free to ask me.

Avast claimed that link was a malware :(

Anyhow, like linus said on some stream, one of the reasons why a lot of people are claiming that razer stuff break often, is that so many people are buying them. If they have a larger market share, more people are going to have defected razer stuff, even if the percentage per company is the same.

Personally I have two razer products, a deathadder and a black widow, and both are great. The mouse have lasted for 1.5 year now approximately, and the keyboard about 4 months :P

It was just a picture of different mice, put into order with the DA being the GOD TIER :D. It sure is a fine mouse and your point is completely valid. I mean there are more than enough people very happy with the mouse!

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

The only Razer product i can safely recommend is the DA, the sensor being the only reason.

I had my deathadder for like 3 year, was in perfect condition, then I moved to a naga for MMO's, gave the deathadder to my older brother, 2 days later he broke the scroll wheel.  <_<

I actually like razer products, yes they arn't exactly made of the best materials, but I love the design and rubber feel :)

That said when my naga eventually brakes, I'll not be getting razer.

I'm not going to defend razer bbubt i will explain my purchases. the deathadder i bought because it really is a good mouse that is comfortable mouse for me. It is one of very few razer products that are actually priced properly. The built quality on it is also pretty good. I bought the razer blackwidow because it was the cheapest mechanical keyboard that wasn't 10 keyless as it was on sale ($70). It is also really good build quality. I didn't say all razer products have good build quality i am just saying the blackwidow is good.

I have been using it now for about 2 weeks or so, and i'm really enjoying it.

Although i would like one extra button for maybe swapping to my primary weapon. I did have that button on the Sharkoon Fireglider.

You have to get used to having 1 less button i guess. But apart from that i really like it.

That would make sense if you're taking your samples from multiple sources of complaints on the internet. But when every single Razer buyer I know, and even every Razer buyer that responded here, are buying new mice at a much higher rate than others, then it's kind of a BS statement, no Linus is not infallible   :P

I totally do NOT agree.

The G400 has great quality problems as well, almost every low senser has a broken cable within a year, because they move the mouse so much.

The Roccat Kone mice didn't even work out of the box due to shit firmware and cheap materials even when you were lucky enough to get one that wasn't DOA.

MadCatz... well they are the definition of cheap stuff that breaks.

And I read a lot of reviews of people with broken Steelseries mice.

So buying a gaming mouse these days is like the lottery.

Surely the Razer Deathadder isn't as high quality as a MX518 used to be or the Microsoft mice, but the new 2013 edition is the best compromise (to me). Also in the last 2 years I never had a single problem with my BlackWidow and it was my first Razer Product ever after being a Logitech fanboy. My DA2013 arrives tomorrow and I might do a Review on here :b

Here in germany we have 2 years of warranty on almost everything so you'll usually get a replacement immediately, so I thought why not just go with the best sensor on the market ?!

IMO Razer has so too many different products.  They need to simplify it a bit more and in turn they would save themselves a ton of coin they can put back into good quality control and good ergonomic research.  Some of their products have been great and others so-so.  I can't point to a specific product of theirs that I've used that I'd label absolutely horrible.

If they just defined their line up with more sense and logic it would be nice.  I'd love to be put in charge of their marketing and product management for peripherals.  In 2 years time you'd all be laughing at everyone else for not buying Razer.  ;)
