Posted December 29, 2018 From what I have seen and heard, you should be in pretty good shape if you just use the Windows Defender software that is built in to Windows 10 and maybe add to that the Malwarebytes software. I have been using that combination for a couple of years now without any negative problems or infections.
 Posted December 29, 2018 It's a waste of money buying internet security. I use Windows Defender, Malwarebytes, AdBlock Plus and my common sense. I also use 'pop-up blocker (strict)' but that's because I download ETS2 mods from a site that has a lot of pop-ups. You don't need 'pop-up blocker (strict) but it's nice to have. My advice is also to not click on stuff like "free ipad" or "free gta 5" and you will most likely be fine.
 The problem is in the "free" all free versions of these software are purely cosmetic, when shit goes down it'll just go like welp if only you had our paid version! I'm not as much into how bad the company is though as I am at least safe to say ESET and Kas~ at least do software that does what an antivirus and etc should do without hogging system resources excessively and not being intrusive warning every thing nor stopping user from using w/e he wants even 'safe' cracks.
