I think the 1050 is way better, worth it imo but do you feel like it was worth it? How much better is your gaming experience?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Not really, it's only a step up from the 1030. The 1060/580 would've been a much better upgrade.

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

As everybody said above. Sadly, not really.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

Yeah not to hop on the hate train but not worth it IMO, an RX570 would've been better.

Yeah if you reached a far higher performance then it was worth it. The 1050 isn't a very expensive GPU and the 1030 is so weaksauce that it really must have been holding you back

What does that have to do with OP upgrading from a gt 1030 to a gtx 1050 being a good upgrade or not?

OP as stated above, would definitely consider RX 570/1060, hell you could even go for 1050Ti.

Oh didn't see that. I thought he already upgraded. In that case, go for the 1060. My bad.

Maybe the next GPU should be a lot better, OP should definitely go from a 1050 to a 1070 or something in a year or so

if  you had a power restriction keeping you to slot power like me the best card is the 1050ti and that is a super upgrade to the 1030 the 1050 2 Gb is a card I wonder why they make its not enough Vram to load the GPU down properly 4Gb of Vram is the minimum for 2018 I don't know how long that's going to be good enough though mine is a solid overclocker and it is 60-75FPS  in a lot of games at 1080 on high-ultra

1050 Ti isnt worth upgrading from the 1050...

benchmarks show its only 13% better and the 2gb model doesn't even matter as it gets 60 fps in gta at very high settings

don't listen to these kids...the 1050 is MASSIVELY stronger than the 1030...it's almost twice as capable...if it meet the performance you need then it was worth it because the 1030 is absolute garbage.

https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1050-vs-Nvidia-GT-1030/3650vsm283726

The mistake certainly was to buy the GT1030 in the first place...not the upgrade to the 1050.

Yeah when i first bought the GT 1030 I had a OEM dell sff pc but i have a full size custom pc and thought it needed a better gpu

i was little confused on why people were saying it wasn't worth it
