hey im moving countries soon and im looking to bring my pc im doing this in 2 trips but  my pc has an aiso and im not sure if its safe to bring in the luggage component of the plane i was wondering how you guys would do this

the case fits in my  suitcase so i was looking at instapack like major manufacturers do or take my mobo and gpu out and put them in the boxes and put those in the case and fill it up with insta foam i lost my anti static bag so im not sure if its ok to put it in the box without it it also has an aio cooler inside and im afraid the pressure difference might make it burst or freeze dont know if its pressurized and temperature controlled

anyone have any experience doing this or any idea on how they would tackle this
thanks

In the past I've removed parts that could potentially get damaged (usually just HDD and GPU) and then packed it into my checked luggage.  AIO will most likely be fine but if you're worried just put it in your carry on too.  For antistatic bags you can normally get one or two for free from a local computer store if you ask.

Instapak would probably be better, but yeah not sure if the cargo area is pressurized

I doubt they would take it away from you because it's sealed but chances are it'll be fine just in your computer.  Like it has to survive shipping to you so a trip in a plane shouldn't be a problem.

AIO should be fine inside your computer. It probably has been on a cargo plane before it reached you/your system. To be extra sure, you can wrap some paper towels on it and then put some of that expanding foam in the system.

The cargo area on commercial airplanes is pressurized.  Remember also that carry-on "luggage" has size and weight restrictions. A full-on ATX PC can easily trip the weight restriction, on top of possibly being too big. Just something to keep in mind if you want to avoid the worst-case scenario.

If any thing, why not make use of the empty space in your case and stuff things in there? Like put your clothes in anti static bags (or line the motherboard with it) and stuff them in the case.

Absolutely, but it could be done for well under $100 (at least in the States) and has a bit of piece of mind carried with it.  For me, my battlestations are my away time from RL responsibility so they are precious to me LOL.
