DDR4 2800 not on PCpp?

I thought I was going crazy, and that 2800 was either an OEM SKU or I just made it up, but nope, my friend does actually have DDR4 2800 Dominator Platinums. Wouldn't this be a good SKU for some budget minded Ryzen builders who don't want as low as 2666 but want to shave a couple bucks off the 3000 price tag? The kits exist, they turn up in a Google search, just curious as to why PCpp leaves them out of their ram filter.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

They probably forgot about it. Or amazon/newegg/other pc parts places don't have it for sale.

because stick makers stop binning for those? These days Hynix AFR and MFR 3000MHz CL16 kit flood the market, few would bother with 2800MHz. I do remember recommending them a lot back in the mining craze, but these kits seemed to be gone with the mining craze.

Yeah sorry meant the drop down filter list, they exist on the site but you can't search specifically for them via the left side menu until you show all of the ram speeds.

2933 fills that spot TBH.

2933 kits are even rarer, imo. It's an easy speed to OC to off a 2666 kit but I could see it being sold in the wild.

It's an uncommon frequency.

2800 MHz is not a JEDEC standard value.

probebly because other speeds are picked or sold more at the registered websites

Since the default sorting is by popularity, you can see that the list of most popular ram has basically no 2133 kits until really far down the list, but 2133 is still in the filter on the left hand side. Just seems like a weird gap to leave in the speeds.

2933 kits are less rare than 2800, there are more 2933 SKUs.

well, I think more people actually buy that ram for basic stations. most people buy or 2666 or 3000 as they are JEDEC speeds (I thought at least). It's kind of a weird speed
