I am looking for a decent laptop that I can game on. But it's shouldn't scream gamer.

I am trying to buy a new laptop which can run games at low-medium quality at 30fps. I don't need a really powerful one that I can run games at high-ultra. 

I also don't want all that rgb and gamer aesthetics. I want something that looks like a normal laptop.

HP Omen 15 with 8th gen i5 and 1050ti. Picked mine up for 800 USD and it works perfect.

That's the model just below the one I have. Mine has 12 gigs of RAM and the 1050ti gpu. As well as 128gb m.2 drive and 1tb hdd.

It's 980$ currently. Is that a good price? It's kinda sweet to see a 1060 6gb in it as I was expecting a 1050TI. But currently it's around 100$ more than my budget though.

I bought a laptop from them earlier in the year before they refreshed the Inspiron gaming lineup and mine was $1100 or so out the door. Originally it was $1200 but I found a coupon to take $100 off (and Dell threw in a $75 gift card because Dell).

 

I'd say it's a good price, but you can usually find this lineup on sale or find discount codes regularly. But if you have to buy it now, I'd say look at the lower configuration options. I think the 1050 Ti version can be found for around what you want to pay before taxes.
