This article is a little old because it doesn't talk about the immediate pulling of the gaming line

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Are we reading the same article?

2018-12-05_1626.png.ae3f6064092eaf0b73c93eed6b435c1a.png

It's an update on the fact that no, they did not pull their gaming desktops. They were delisted for a short period, but are back up for sale. That, and the article is literally only 2 hours old.

For Sale: Meraki Bundle

iPhone Xr 128 GB Product Red - HP Spectre x360 13" (i5 - 8 GB RAM - 256 GB SSD) - HP ZBook 15v G5 15" (i7-8850H - 16 GB RAM - 512 GB SSD - NVIDIA Quadro P600)

Why would they pay for the article at all?

Possibly at the reduced price point. The specs aren't bad at all, there's just some very obvious compromises they had to make which impact performance.

I'd say if they fixed the QA issues (better quality OEM power supply, and perhaps a better motherboard), then the OP PC's would actually be a great deal.

Not with that sketchy ass great Wall PSU. Once the GN breakdown hits we'll see.

Walmart did not pull its 'Overpowered' gaming desktop PCs from sale

I called it right from the get go.

The Walton's were never dumb!

Just wish the high school journalist would, at a minimum, take an English class or 12.

It is really getting worse and worse!

No wonder there are a ton of ESL classes advertised.

Its actually quite pathetic. How do these so called journalists even get a job writing?

Do you have a license and a vehicle?

Are you legal to work?

Are you breathing?

Ok then you can write articles for us!

Well if the current gig does not pan out, Yahoo is always hiring.

You skim LOLOLOLOLOL

Too much material, just "Fake It Until You Make It"

;)

Well Linus just got on the band wagon to cash in as fast as he could. Who ever did the first video, is the Top Dog!

Update Product Info = BULLSHIT!

though it appears several models have dropped in price recently.

Of course, seems reasonable. Have to get the product off the shelves. Rebadge the next shipment. Profit.

Don't want no quick Google to come up with OverPowered results ever again!

This will get some airtime from the talking heads on interweb land.

Gotta cash in fast boys!

Great Wall make several Corsair power supplies, they are just generic, but not necessarily bad.

Quite possible they decided to edit the piece without noting that. Wouldn't want to look wrong now would they!

Maybe they'll ship them with plugged in pcie power this time.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Those are easy things for Walmart to solve. Frankly, the case is a bit of an embarrassment, since it's so easy to solve (Have the OEM just replace the front panel USB 2.0 ports with 3.0 ports, and then the case will be pretty okay).

PSU is an off the shelf part, so they just need to have the OEM supply a better one - though frankly, I'm not convinced that the PSU is really going to be that much of an issue.

Motherboard could be an issue - especially if that's actually the cause of the CPU issues shown in the video. Re-engineer the board - or better yet, simply use a different OEM design.

Now... will Walmart actually take/use any of this criticism? No idea (probably not).

Power supply will work, but something equivalent to 80+ on a system that costs more than a grand? Not to much more expensive to just put in a better power supply.

Case is dissapointing. Change the USB headers to 3.0, push the front out further to give a way for air to draw in and add a dust filter.

Motherboard hurts, wouldn't be to much more money to just out in a better one :/

Are they the worst systems? No, but they should be much better in the quality department for the price
