Can a Ryzen 5 1600 support 3200 Mhz ram if the motherboard supports it?

I have an asrock b450 pro4 motherboard , ryzen 5 1600 . Thinking of getting adata xpg spectrix d40 (AX4U320038G16-DRS) which is in the QVL of this specific motherboard. So, my question is will my 1600 be able to support 3200Mhz with this mobo and ram ?

It's dependent on the weakest link in the chain, and as far as I can tell, the r5 1600 supports 3200, so it should work.

It's this part I didn't get "It's dependent on the weakest link in the chain"

The r5 1600 itself supports 3200, but what I'm trying to say is that when working with RAM speeds, generally, whatever in the lowest max speed for ram will determine it.

Lets say the motherboard supports 2400 but the CPU supports 3200, it will run at 2400 max, unless you overclock it.

Ryzen is picky about what ram it will work with and at what frequency it will run. So whether or not it will work could depend on your specific cpu or the ram. Ryzen specifically performs better when paired whit samsung b die ram
