Upgrading From i5 2500k

Go to solution Solved by NelizMastr,

A friend of mine upgraded from an i5-6500 to the R5 2600 and he doesn't have any framedrops anymore. Heck, he even plays 1440p on a GTX1060 and no stutters anymore, at all. My 2700X has also been smooth sailing in BF V.

So I am currently contemplating on whether I should buy myself a new CPU. I've been doing research and I've settled on the Ryzen 5 2600. In terms of performance gains am I looking at anything noticeable? Biggest reason I was looking to upgrade was for BFV lol.

Thanks

Alright guess I'm upgrading. The frame drops have been insane on BFV for me and I thought it was due to my GTX 1060, guess not.

Nah. It's a problem on all 4c/4t processors. They take a proper beating. 6 threads or more and you're good to go, basically.
