quick question are the i7-9700k compatible to the asus rog strix z390-e

The Z390 platform is for the new 9th gen Intel CPU's, so in short, yes they are compatible.

 

Use PC part picker to select parts and configure your build, it will only show you compatible parts with what you have selected.

i have been looking around at some new computer components and i tried looking, but when i try and see weather or not  the i7-9700k and the asus rog strix z390-e are compatible i cannot find anything. any info would be appreciated

If I were you I would get a 8700k for 370 bones.  You will not see a difference compared to the i7 9700k.  To prove that.  I have a 7 year old CPU and it beats the 8700k stock in cpu queen and keeps up with other tests.  I would get a 8700k and OC it to 5Ghz and call it a day.  But you need a top notch cooler.  good luck

9700k is basically a factory delidded 8700k, so it is handy to those not trusting their hands

that's how I see Intel's soldering. liquid metal is still slightly better than solder, but at least solder itself is much better than toothpaste on the 8th gen CPUs
