Because they don't want to.

Also you're using an i5.

Of course it will run cooler than an i7 or i9.

they make 4 core macbooks that don't throttle, it's only the 6 core i9 models

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

im just wondering why they cant make a thick Mac for the rest of us who don't like a hot MacBook  or maybe want a ethernet port for work I have been running on this for a while it has steam epic and battle.net open doing updates to load it all the way down with updates and still not breaking 70c have to call them on this crap or no one will talk about it or they make excuses.

i5-8250U in a unibody 13" would give you 10-20 watts less TDP giving you 4 cores 8 threads and room for a much better cooling solution and plenty of room for a Vega 20 and massive storage and cooling since you cant go over 100 watt hours of battery. you have so much room and a edge to edge iPad 120hz adaptive screen would be the greatest thing ever.

Because Apple isn’t a gaming company, and they don’t make gaming products, and anyone who buys their machines for gaming is an outlier.

Because Apple is a Fashion brand. One of their most important assets is their style and brand perception. They can never compromise on looks. Ever. It would harm the brand and the value of their company.

Because as processors get more and more efficient, there is less need for lots of thermal dissipation. Because very few people, even creative pros, really need that much performance.

Because in the end, they don’t care that much about longevity. People who buy their hottest, most powerful computers are going to replace them every few years anyways, because they can afford to. Their thermal designs are good enough for normal users who don’t push their computers hard and want it to last a long time.

Just get a hackintosh. Apple isn’t making products for you, so make it for yourself.

the problem is they feel like they are trying to drag gamers into the mix with the 2018 offerings with the fake "i9" cpu and them pushing the "fortnite" angle feels like them becoming aware that people play games when they have down time. also that a gaming machine actually makes a damn good productivity machine and are half listening with the marketing team since they cant be seen actually talking to "gamers" outside the ecosystem so they are as always all about the buzz words i9 even among hardcore gamers is a joke and status symbol most still would rather buy a 8700k or a 7700k with their money because we understand price to performance. then the addition of Vega is them basically adding a AMD 1050ti to the lineup so for the screen they give you its able to game on medium for once but the prices of the components they choose are what makes the prices ridiculous.

Any gamer who is tricked into buying an i9, Vega 20 mobile, macbook pro thinking it is the pinnacle of a gaming experience is an idiot. There is no excuse for being so easily swayed by the weakest marketing attempts.

The fake i9 isn't their fault, intel is the one who brands the chip.
