You do need to buy a Sprint SIM card for $3, and of course a compatible unlocked phone

Also, the data speeds are abysmally slow

I don't know if it's classified scifi as such.

now only if it included paying off any fees and remaining dues on the phone

I had Sprint before and coverage was mediocre back in 2009/2010, I'm sure it's changed now lol

I mean I'd probably stay after that year if I found that their service was actually better now.
But in North Metro Minnesota 8 to 9 years ago it wasn't.

and Im sure theyved improved nationally but I just havent had a reason to go back. Verizon has been pretty good if not occasionally expensive. I'm considering working for AT&T for my next job.
Move from Android to iOS.

I don't like what Google is doing as a company that's what's largely driving my wish to move away from Android..

I currently have an S8+ and I love it, but I could survive with an iPhone.

Remember google doesn't own android, it just heavily contributes to it. Also, from an ethical standpoint, I don't see Apple as much better. Windows phone for the win!

Apparently it could be a way to control people's minds.

That's it. They just want you to get hooked on the network. My guess is that they have extra overhead that they're not using.

wow. tempting though I have heard stories about some pretty awful service from sprint. I'm pretty content with my at&t service.

Anyhow, thanks for sharing

Google bought Android in 2005. So, I would say that they own it.

Not exactly. That's like saying that Tim Berners-Lee owns the world wide web. Android is open source, so any developer can edit the code, recompile it, and re-release it. That's why custom ROMs exist.

I had Boost mobile (which runs off Sprint towers) for a month or 2 many years ago, lost data (like COMPLETELY) if I got more then a mile or 2 off the highway, where Verizon had multiple bars of 4G, worst coverage out there, there is a reason the Old "can you hear me now guy" stays in the cities on the Sprint commercials.
