i just noticed that you can increase your profile views in spite of being signed in your own account. wondering if it's normal behavior

You have been able to do this for such a long time now (plus profile views really mean nothing) I just assumed it's either not worth it to fix or it's an issue on the side of IPS.

I think this has been brought up to the devs before, and their response was along the lines of "meh". I'm not sure why that field even exists tbh.

If your own views didn't count, people could still artificially inflate it by using incognito mode, among other ways, so it's not really worth fixing.
