Gaming with your FEET - Dank or Dumb?

PC gaming is competitive. Whether you’re playing Fortnight or League of Legends, sometimes you just want another more hands. BCON takes you beyond your keyboard, letting you play with…your foot?

I wouldn't know if it's dank or dumb for a healthy person in a competitive setting, but there are plenty of people with various disabilities that do play games with the help of their feet -- either in addition to their hands, or completely replacing any hand-controllers entirely -- due to various issues with using their hands for it.

Hand, n. A singular instrument worn at the end of the human arm and commonly thrust into somebody’s pocket.

the funny thing is this device would get you banned in most games. a lot of games have in their rules that 1 button press can only equal one action and im guessing the beacon is accelerometer based so no button presses are occurring and it sounds like it would be pretty easy to do some OP macros with them as well. macros are also usually banned by most games. and if you wondering why it doesn't just say you cant use software to emulate keypresses is because eve did that once and this is what happend

closeup2.jpg

thats why the language is that one press can only equal one action to prevent people attaching dowels to keyboards :P

I'm not sure about this particular device; however, once you consider that wheel+pedals is fairly standard for racing games, or even flight simulators, there is no reason why other games couldn't benefit from 4-way limb coordination. It could a the very least serve very simple purposes, like crouching or sprinting without contorting your hands. Heck, even a pair of permanent shift and control or alt pedals would be a general improvement to PC usage in general once you get used to it.

the first that came to my mind was that DOTA guy who used macros on a combo-fighter-style hero, LOL

seriously, my ankle hurts from trying to mimic those controls ,_,

yeah the whole tilting right with my left foot doesn't go to well, up/down is one thing but angling left/right not so much, pivoting left/right is much more natural movement.

I don't think this will ever be a thing. Then again I thought PUBG and Fortnite would never take off.
