very likely the cell phone will try to use its internet as well as your isp landline internet

but watch linus video on cat cables and their frequencys used(100mhz 200mhz 250mhz)

cat5 works with 1gbps but it does not share well as its 100mhz cable(it takes ages to talk)

open youtube video then goto settings and play speed

treat normal speed as 1gbps 200mhz

now set video to .5x playspeed

this is how router sees the slower freq cable

try setting your adapter to halfduplex and it should behaive better as this will force the adapter to do either send or recieve but not both simultaneously

Ok Thanks!

What he said is completely wrong and won't do anything.

Setting it to half duplex will limit you to 100Mbps and that won't solve your issue.

1Gbps and up requires full duplex or you only get 100Meg or less.

You probably have a bad cable somewhere, I would try a different one and see if that helps.

What happens if you use the same cable on the laptop?

Do you get the same results as on the PC or better?

Hmmm. I know you mentioned earlier you installed the MSI website drivers.

Just out of curiosity, can you try downloading them again and doing a reinstall over the existing stuff?

I've run into an issue where Windows overrode the drivers before and I had to install a second time.

I doubt that's the case but it's worth a shot.

reset the router to its defaults if you haven't

if it doesn't works well maybe the router's board is damaged and can't transfer at high speed anymore

ASUS X470-PRO • R7 1700 4GHz • Corsair H110i GT P/P • 2x MSI RX 480 8G • Corsair DP 2x8 @3466 • EVGA 750 G2 • Corsair 730T • Crucial MX500 250GB • WD 4TB

I was thinking that as well but it works when wired to another device, just not the one computer.

The reverse could be true though that something is messed up on the motherboard but hopefully not.

Hmm, so the laptop on wire is fast?

Wow, this is really weird. Hmm, I wish you had another device to test with a wire.

Have you tried resetting the router to factory default (hold reset button)

Yah, if you reset it to defaults everything will be wiped clean and you'll have to setup the router again.
