Dude that voltage is way to high! I am running on 4.8 too but at 1.258v. It is of course CPU dependant but I get the impression you haven't tested on a lower voltage. Here's a SS of mine just for your reference with a few different settings.

well outside of the fact that you are getting your ass handed to you in overclock clockspeed thats decent, cable management is something to work on if you have a windowed sidepanel though and fix the title form "17-7700K build" unless you ment that it was built in 2017

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Yes , just change the title, and tried to be more explicit...

Cable management asap, Amazone (france) lost my PSU. Should wait until Tuesday 8/8/17.  The glass side panel will be mounted when all is finish ...

neat, but make sure you cant push like 5GHz on that 1.334V, seeing as most people should be reaching that by that voltage, even my I7 4790K does

Dude that voltage is way to high! I am running on 4.8 too but at 1.258v. It is of course CPU dependant but I get the impression you haven't tested on a lower voltage. Here's a SS of mine just for your reference with a few different settings.

  • 1 year later...

digging up this thread almost 18 month later.

I am almost still happy but run in a problem last month.

My rig stop working suddenly, no more post. Ligth on, but blank screen, no beep, no nothing.

When disabling XMP profile, my system POST correctly. Some voltage issue:

Two posibilities, CPU or memory.

After some manipulation, i found out some of my memory went bad. My bank three for my "G.Skill 4096 MB (DDR4-2137) - XMP 2.0 - P/N: F4-3866C18-4GTZ"

I was thinking to buy another kit of the same brand model but turn out i need a little bit more memory, and also the F4-3866C18-4GTZ is no longer in production, plus is not listed on the QVL list.

As the motherboard seem ok, i switched to [Trident Z RGB] F4-3600C16Q2-64GTZR

Now, everythings works fine again.

Simple rules:

- If it works, dont update it.

- You don't know how, just do it, you will learn.

- Test, restest, test again, and maybe it will do it.
