R5 over the i5, faster ram if you can with that.

You don't need a cooler if you get an i5 7500

Even an Ryzen 1400-1500X will be better. Still has 4 more threads. Go with R5 1600 if you can. If not, go with the 1400 or 1500X.

Okay, so if i do go with an r5 1600, would i need a z370 motherboard? Would i still need to buy a 3rd party cooler? What latency ram should i go with?

Okay so r5 1600 or 1500X, and an x370 board? Also would i need a 3rd party air cooler for overclocking, and what speed ram should i use?
