I need help trying to turn on Windows Defender on the MSI GS63VR which came pre-installed with Norton.

On the MSI GS63VR it came pre-installed with Norton.  I deleted Norton and I tried to turn on Windows Defender.  When I tried to turn on Windows Defender it pops up with programs & features from the control panel.  In Windows Defender it says real-time protection is handled by another  AV program.  I don't even have Norton. It also says that Windows Defender is off because I have an existing AV program and that it wants me to uninstall the existing AV program to turn on Windows Defender.  If anyone can give me help, thanks.

nice, you can't get rid of everything manually, use CC cleaner.

I would reinstall Windows or install Kaspersky Total Security.

Kasperskyhas a software cleaner that can remove any program.

reload windwos, its really the only way to get what you paid for out of that laptop. I had the same thing with my MSI Apache. Not like drivers are a mission anymore with W10.

used produkey to get my W10 key, Put it into the Microsoft website, downloaded a ISO. Used Rufus to mount that ISO onto a flash stick. Booted off the flash stick and wipped the harddrives during the windows install ( It says Upgrade instillation or Custom Instillation.
