Nvidia cards aren't that great at mining, and it will wear out your card running it 100%, especially if it is indeed a reference model.

I wouldn't want my $600 card running at 83 degrees for 8-12 hours a day. Each to their own though.

What case are you using? Is it the one in your sig? If so, don't get FE. FE should be used in confined spaces, HTPC's, small cuboids, and desktop builds.

Under furmark which is probably similar to mining the FE card hits about 83 degrees, at stock speeds. I fear for my 390X when it gets past 85 degrees sometimes lol

If you wanted to satisfy your epeen you could always get the titan xp, i have one . Reference design by default isnt noisy but is designed to run hot by default in keeping the GPU above 80 and below 90. When you crank up the fan to high manually thats when you really hear it.

You should start with using a custom fan profile.

boi a good 1080ti will beat a titan because of its overclocking capabilities.

i ever only buy full chip GPUs, overclockability is the same. For every overclock the titan xp gets it gets a larger boost than the 1080 ti for the same clocks because it has more cores. My titan x pascal i ran above 1900Mhz with the stock reference cooling and a fan profile.

and a 1080ti can go up to 2050. i take back what i said before, but im sure there are quite a few that do beat titans.
