RX 580 - Sapphire Nitro+ or MSI Gaming X

Hi, speculating between the above mentioned cards. Nitro+ (1411 boost, 2000 memory) and Gaming X (1393, 2025)

1. Any preference on either of these based on cooling, VRM, power phase etc?
2. Nitro+ needs one 8-pin, one 6-pin. Gaming X needs one 8-pin only. Should that translate to potentially higher OC for Nitro+?
(two reviews of MSI card took boost clock upto 1490 and 1525 MHz. So it seems to be a non-issue.)
3. Any idea/estimate which company does better quality-checking?
(Bringing the card from USA. So cannot RMA it or claim warranty even if it's DOA. That's why asking)

I think Nitro is a better overall card, and if you ask me it looks better since it's more color neutral

Sapphire Nitro+ gets my vote.

Okay. But I thought the Twin Froze 6 on MSI is a robust cooler.

And I want to forego looks for quality though I like the Sapphire one better aesthetically.

Nitro 580 has a pretty robust cooler as well. A lot bigger than the 480, as a matter of fact.

Because it is over all a better card than MSi's 5 years old same cooler they've been using forever.

Ok but isnt Twin Frozr being updated? (Twin Frozr 6). Anyways look at this

Didn't say lots of great things about the design the first ~10 min I viewed. Not bad either.

Actually am more concerned on the PCB design itself than cooler as I feel both cooler will serve my purpose just fine.

Nitro is much better here.

Only 33-36 db Loudness, while the MSI Gaming X reaches 48,5 dB. Which is FUCKING LOUD.

I honestly don't know why this is so loud here... MSI must have made a big mistake somewhere...

2400 rpm from the Fans means, they run almost at 100%.

 

Nitro+ fans run at 1250-1450 rpm. Which is very silent.

MSI did a bios update as it reads which makes things slightly better but still unsatisfactory it seems.
