Intel i5 4460 or g4560 uprade?

Hello

Right know I got a amd x4 750k paired with a r9 270, but i am looking for a cpu upgrade, because it feels like the cpu lacks behind

I've looked at the pentium g4560, motherboard and ddr4 ram for about 280$ or the I5 4460 and a motherboard for the same price.

What would be the best to get? The 4460 i a little bit more powerful, but is a little old.
I mostly do graphic design in illustrator and inDesign, and a bit of gaming (Overwatch, Witcher 3 etc.)

I hope you can help me chose

Have a good day

get a ryzen cpu, unless that is out of budget, if it is then get the i5. the added 2 cores will make it better

Might be worth waiting till ryzen 3 comes out as that will be (hopefull) on par with the current i5s and i3s for less than what intel is selling them for

obviously the i5 4460, trash the g4560 in every single scenario except having a weaker igpu but that doesn't matter

i5 is a quad core vs a dual core g4560

The i5 is going to be better, but I would highly recommend you wait for R3 if possible.

Alright. I maybe should wait for the ryzen 3 and get a quad core. But then i also need to wait for mini itx to come to AM4. I know biostar have releashed one, but it is not on market yet. Thanks for the quick answers

By the time Ryzen 3 comes out, it should already be available.
