802.11n WLAN NIC where to download drivers?

I have a USB wifi adapter and I need drivers. Where can I download some?

If you're running Windows 10, you could just hook up with an Ethernet cable for Internet access and when you plug the USB Wifi NIC Windows should pull the drivers for you automagically.

 

Else, we're going to need more info on the brand/model.

You're right to be suspicious, disregard that comment. Try and find the brand and model. Search for XXX YYY drivers.

Alright then,

 

Open the Device Manager and in the properties of the device you need drivers for open up the "Details" tab. Change the "Property" box to "Hardware Ids" and post the strings on here. This is what will tell us what hardware ID string Windows sees and help you find the maker/model/revision of it.

 

I've included a picture to reference below.

 

Right click on the strings, choose "select all" and right click on the selection again and choose "copy". You can now paste all the strings in your reply and we should be able to find who made that device pretty quickly.

Try the drivers from TP-LINK as they use the same chip for their TL-WN723N and let us know how it goes. http://www.tp-link.com/us/download/TL-WN723N.html#Driver
