Have you seen how shit the pound is? Prices in UK are going up as importing is technically more expensive when converting from USD to GBP now.

Hmmmm, not really. The 'typical' RX460 costs $100, generally at a minimum, and that's largely to clear stock for the RX550 and RX560. Outside of that, most are still in the ballpark of $120, and this is all on Amazon.com.

It's normal to expect cards to fall in price upon the announcement of a new line of cards, and equal comparisons between the US and the UK are pretty much impossible, since prices have to be adjusted for tax and dollar-to-pound value over here.

Well, RAM prices have been going up everywhere due to a supply shortage and production transition phase between DDR3 and DDR4.

That particular issue is a bit more complicated than just the pound being weaker than piss now.

It's because there's a shortage on DRAM modules which, until the end of this year, is gonna persist.

It's priced in a way that tries to keep profits the same for the company as before the pound went to shit. Unfortunately for us, that means our prices increase, even though it is technically the right value in USD. If the pound was good, the price would be lower for us, but equate to the same as it is now in USD, more or less.

I bought an RX550 for testing my pc for 140$ ( my 1070 was in the service center) and was shocked at the low FPS. it's half the power of the gtx 1050. so I returned it to the shop immediately and got a gt740. figured I'll use the 4 monitor support in an office setup in the future. and would keep my pc on duty until my 1070 is replaced or refunded.
